For all of our services, we work together as a team, because of this, there will always be more than one person working on your project.

We only accept 50% of our quoted fees up-front, with the remaining 50% due upon satisfied completion of the service. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Amex and Email Transfers.

We do also have the skills, technology and ability to do a variety of other tasks for our clients over and above the ones listed below – please ask regarding any special requests you may have.

*All prices are in CAD and we use xe.com to determine conversion amounts. All applicable taxes are included in our prices.

Additional services that we can assist with (for a fee) or provide referrals for include: Manuscript Formatting – Print and Digital; Cover Design; Amazon and Smashwords submissions; Facebook Event creation; Facebook Group creation; Publicity and Marketing; Best-seller Campaigns. Proofreading

When quoting projects we start with a base line of $0.01 per word or $100 per hour (all work is pre-quoted). Once we have reviewed your project the price we quote could be higher or lower than this base line depending on the quality of the work.

We check the content for basic errors in spelling, grammar and punctuation using advanced automated tools and a standard read-through process by at least two people.

Depending on the length and complexity of your work, as well as our work queue, this service could take anywhere from 24-hours to four weeks.

Line Editing

When quoting projects we start with a base line of $0.015 per word or $100 per hour (all work is pre-quoted). Once we have reviewed your project the price we quote could be higher or lower than this base line depending on the quality of the work.

We check the content for errors in spelling, grammar and punctuation. We also address some syntax and word choice options and make recommendations on which areas could use improvement.

Depending on the length and complexity of your work, as well as our work queue, this service could take anywhere from 24-hours to four weeks.

Depending on the length and complexity of your work, as well as our work queue, this service could take anywhere from three days to four weeks.

Content Editing Plus

When quoting projects we start with a base line of $0.03 per word or $100 per hour (all work is pre-quoted). Once we have reviewed your project the price we quote could be higher or lower than this base line depending on the quality of the work.

We perform a more detailed line edit, which will check the grammar, spelling and punctuation, as well as addressing more advanced syntax and word-choice errors. We focus on consistency and accuracy of style. We also focus on consistency and accuracy of content.

  • For fiction titles, the focus is on checking for consistency of plot details, characters and setting.
  • For nonfiction titles, the focus is on maintaining consistency of information and ideas.

This is a more in-depth service that requires substantially more time, an estimate of time will be given when the project is quoted.

Basic Website Setup

$500

For this service we will handle the initial setup of a WordPress website with the inclusion of 5 pages: Home, Blog, My Books, Reviews, Media Kit (a basic business version similar to this is also available)

We will input as much detail as you currently have available. We will gather information from you on your preferences and will match the look and feel as closely to your book or series as possible.

Additional pages will be charged a fee of $100 each.

1 year of hosting and the initial domain name purchase is included. The author will be responsible for an annual hosting fee of $200 in order to keep the site live after 1 year. Authors are welcome to transfer their sites to other hosts or web designers if they so choose. We don’t lock sites or make it difficult for authors to have control.

After the initial setup, authors will be responsible for managing their own changes and updates. We can provide training on how to manage and use the site or they can choose to hire us on an hourly basis. Our rates for training or maintenance are $100 per hour.

Social Media Basics

We will setup 3 social media channels from the list below. We will also setup a post management tool and pre-schedule posts for once per week on each channel for a month to get you started.

Ongoing maintenance and updates of these social media sites will be the author’s responsibility. We can offer some general guidance and suggestions on how to do this.

We can also offer add-on services to help setup a long-term schedule and plan.

There are several tools available to make the task of managing social media much easier. Most of these tools have a choice between a free version and a paid version. We will explain the options to our clients and offer our recommendations, but the final choice of tools will be up to the client and any costs involved are separate from our services.
